About Roof Grant Louisiana

Homeowners use a Louisiana roof grant only if they can find approved roofers and compare bids. The official list shows a city. This site sorts that list by parish.

Disclaimer

Roof Grant Louisiana is an independent directory. It is not a government site. The Louisiana Department of Insurance, the State of Louisiana, and IBHS do not operate it and do not endorse it. A listing means the business name was on a public state list on November 2, 2026. It is not a review, a rank, or a promise that the business is still approved tomorrow. Check the official contractor list and the official evaluator list before you hire.

The word FORTIFIED is used only to describe the IBHS construction standard the grant requires. This site does not use the IBHS logo. IBHS asks that the mark stay out of a site name, a domain, and a logo unless you have a license. Our name is Roof Grant Louisiana.

Basic listings are free. No one paid to be included. Featured placement is not for sale on this site yet. See For roofers.

How a city becomes a parish

Of 189 roofers, 165 have one city that maps to a Louisiana parish, 3 are outside Louisiana, and 21 have a city field that lists several places. Those 21 are not given a home parish, because the state did not name one. 54 evaluator rows are handled the same way. The lookup is the Census Bureau’s 2023 place gazetteer, matched to parish boundaries, plus a small corrections file in this project. Neighbors are parishes that share a Census border. Two parishes are neighbors when their Census boundaries share an edge of at least 0.05 degrees. Jefferson and Tangipahoa share only about 0.035 degrees in this simplified boundary file and are not treated as neighbors; St. John the Baptist lies between them. Borders across open water, such as Orleans and St. Tammany, are kept when the shared edge is long enough.

Eligible parishes are copied from the program page retrieved 2026-11-03. The sentence on that page was: “If your home is located within one of the parishes listed below, you are eligible to apply for the lottery.”

What this site will not do

It will not take a payment, start a roof, or tell you that you won a lottery. Forms store what you type. They do not send email. Grant rules change. Read them on ldi.la.gov/fortifyhomes.
